Elan Double Skin Steel Partitioning

The Elan double skin steel partitioning system is designed for use in a wide range of applications where appearance, acoustics, and safety are key considerations. High levels of aesthetic appeal and robust physical properties have made it a preferred choice for environments such as factory partitioning, museum display areas, and laboratory offices.


The system has been designed to be fully demountable, allowing individual panels to be removed without requiring the disassembly of the entire enclosure. A cost-effective solution to space management challenges is provided through the use of Elan.

» Integrated blinds are available, which are controlled with a portable dial – keeping the panel face free from unnecessary clutter.


» Noise reduction capabilities can also be offered with potential noise reduction of up to 36dB.


» Completely demountable, enabling one panel to be removed without having to dismantle the whole enclosure.


» Panels can be supplied in a fire-rated version to BS476: Part 22:1987.

Panels are available in several formats: AS (all steel), SG (steel-glass), GSG (glass-steel-glass), and SGS (steel-glass-steel), with standard sizing provided. A width of 1000mm can be accommodated where the height remains below 2438mm.


AG (all glass) panels are subject to more limited height options but maintain the same width availability.


Integrated blinds, operated via a portable dial, can be included, ensuring the panel surface remains free from visual clutter.

Elan double skin steel partitioning is offered in both non-fire-rated and fire rated partitioning configurations. Panels classified as fire-rated are infilled with mineral wool and have been tested in accordance with BS476: Part 22:1987. Fire resistance of up to 1 hour can be achieved, depending on the chosen panel configuration.


Elan can also be supplied with enhanced acoustic performance. The inclusion of mineral wool within the panels allows for sound reduction levels of up to 36dB, as verified through testing to BS5821: Part 1:1984.

All Elan panels are prepared and powder coated to the highest quality standards. A TGIC- and lead-free powder coat is applied to an average thickness of 70 microns.


Non-standard and corporate colours are available upon request. Specialist coatings, including anti-static/electro-dissipative and antimicrobial finishes, can also be specified.


All panels are prepared and coated in a UK-based facility.
